Booking & Availability
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book their wedding cake 6–18 months ahead. I recommend enquiring as early as possible to avoid disappointment—peak dates often go quickly.

Is there a minimum spend?
Yes. All KJC wedding cake commissions require a minimum spend of £350 (excluding delivery).

How do I secure my date?
A non-refundable £100 booking fee secures your date in the diary. The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before the wedding.
Taster Boxes & Consultations
Can I try flavours before booking?
Absolutely! Taster boxes are available via Kimmi’s Cakes. They include a mix of our most popular flavours and can be ordered before or after securing your date.

When will we have our consultation?
Consultations are typically held around 3 months before your wedding. We'll go over design details, colours, florals, and logistics—all with cake in hand!
Cake Design & Flavours
Do you offer buttercream, semi-naked, and fondant finishes?
Yes. All finishes are available and priced accordingly based on complexity and design.

Can we customise the flavour tiers?
Of course! You can choose a different flavour for each tier from our flavour menu.

Do you offer vegan or gluten-free options?
Yes—many flavours are available made without gluten, dairy-free, or fully vegan. Just let me know your requirements and I’ll guide you.
Flowers & Decor
Do you work with fresh flowers?
Yes. These are usually provided by your florist, and I will liaise with them to safely apply blooms to your cake on the day.

Can you match our colours or theme?
Absolutely. I’ll work with your colour palette, invites, florals, and Pinterest dreams to create something that fits beautifully.
Delivery & Set-up
Do you deliver and set up the cake?
Yes. Delivery and on-site setup are included in your quote. I liaise directly with your venue and/or florist to ensure everything is perfect.

How much is delivery?
Delivery is quoted individually based on your venue’s location and distance from my studio in Swindon.
Payments & Cancellations
When is the final balance due?
The final payment is due 4 weeks before your wedding date.

What happens if we need to postpone or cancel?
If you need to postpone, your booking fee can be transferred to a new date (subject to availability). Full details are outlined in the Terms & Conditions.
